Finally...Something Good To Talk About

I feel like most of my blogging has been negative, so I am going to talk about something good today. I received notice that I received the state grant for National Board Certification. Have any of you been through the National Board Process? If so, do any of you have advice for me as I embark on this adventure?

Super! I have not been through the process so I can't offer any advice. I'd like to know how it goes for you though. I might consider it AFTER the ASTL program.

Congrats! I know I told you over the phone, but I'm telling you again! You really need to take the National Board class this fall. I talked to the instructor today and she said that even if you don't do Boards this year, the class will be a huge benefit for when you do start working on it.

Congratulations on that. And go for it. You get a big money bonus with it, but it is lots of work. A negative thing about it is that from what I know, it is not a permanent thing. It expires after a few years, and you have to do it all over again. Is that true? Or am I wrong?

Good luck!

Congratulations! That is awsome. I have been trying for two years to get a change to go to the meeting to find out about National Boards and keep missing it. Hopefully I will be able to do that this year. With my Master's completed and those classes out of the way I will have more time to spend on it later anyway. Keep us posted about the process in your blog.

I'm glad you are doing so. My wife has thought about it for quite some time but keeps putting it off.
