Do any of you ever feel overwhelmed by the amount of information available on the web? How do educators find enough time in the day to accomplish everything that is expected? This will be the beginning of my 5th year of teaching, and I still feel that there is so much more that I should know. Are there any veteran teachers out there who can give me advice?

You just articulated my thoughts. I guess it is known as information overload. The "information highway" is soooo broad that I often have trouble narrowing information in any given situation.
I've taught 12 yrs. and as far as I'm concerned, if you ever think you know it all and have no more to learn, that's when you need to find a new career. Don't be overwhelmed...just do the best you can.
I'm right there with you on the overwhelmed part. You have a lot more going on, too. Just think, we'll be done in the fall!
I agree with Alicia! Whenever you feel like you have learned all there is to learn as a teacher, it is time to move on to another profession!!! I too will begin my 12th year as a teacher and I have learned to narrow my scope. Target an area that you feel you need to improve on as a teacher in your content area and focus on only that. When you have meet that goal, move on to another area. I know as teachers we tend to want to be perfect in every area for our students but we can't! Focus on what is most important first and don't give up! Hang in there!!!!
